Default New member with new to me XJS in Michigan

Hi all, I'm getting an 89 XJS tomorrow for my wife and I to restore and cruise to car shows in. What should I be worried about? This car is mainly a cosmetic fixer upper and is surprisingly clean underneath. Known issues are a leaky rear brake line and a "stiff" spot when turning the power steering. Other than that spotty rust on front fender and bottom of rear quarter panels where chrome attaches.

welcome. I try to carry a fairly complete tool bag. Good to have for junkyard adventures too. Get those brakes fixed and youll have a good feel of what you need... Maybe well see you around sometime.

Go to the "XJS" section. In one of the sticky threads at the top you'll find an XJS Buyers Guide that will help answer your question

Cheers and welcome aboard

Welcome aboard! Great forum/people and a wealth of information in here. We're over in the GR area so if you see a BRG XK8 while out cruising, that's us.
