Greetings spdfreak04, and welcome to the forum! You'll find that being part of a forum like this will greatly help your Jaguar ownership, especially if you don't have a ton of experience with the brand. Depending on what car you have, there's lots of things you can do yourself. Do you already have a good independent mechanic to work on the stuff you can't? Thankfully, Madison has a few of them.
Cheers,
Scott

Since this post I have updated my signature to include my year and make. As far as mechanics go I do all of my own work from brakes to engine rebuilds, I am very fluent with the automotive industry, but Jaguars are new to me. This one was a gift for my birthday from my grandparents, so I intend to use the best of the situation and really go through the car with a fine tooth comb to fix what is necessary.

New to Wisconsin
new to the area. we moved from Indy to Appleton back in October. love the area! lots of arts and crafts shows, nature centers and just beautiful scenery in general. haven't ventured out too far due to my work schedule but we have made it to Lambeau Field and ate at Curlys. later this month we plan on a road trip to Sturgeon Bay and Door County. can't wait!
I'll be checking in from time to time and see what's new with Jaguars in the Fox Valley and Wisconsin.

Hey dont know when your coming up to Sturgeon Bay/Door County area or if you already came, but if you looking for something to do Sturgeon Bay has local dirt track racing on saturday nights starting at 6 or 7ish (I cant completely remember which one). Not sure if you're into that sort thing or not but thought I'd try and help with a little tourism. We got a car up there and I think racing is done at the end of august though.

Welcome, Dale!
Welcome to Madison, Dale. I just cleaned up my '85 XJ6 yesterday in the beautiful weather. Haven't had much chance to get it out with all the rain. I'll be looking for yours as I'm out tooling around.
Also, Jag lovers in the Madison area; not sure if you know about Cars and Coffee in Lake Mills. I believe they meet the third Sunday of every month. The might be done for the year. Haven't been there myself yet, but would like to check it out.

No relatives in Cedarburg, that I am aware of anyway.
Ah yes, Madison. The city of the perpetually offended.

Welcome, Thor82: although I now live near Madison, I know the Tomahawk area very well. My family's "up north" place is in Harrison Hills; and I hunt with the cousins just a couple miles out of Tomahawk on Hwy 86.
Can't help you with mechanic recommendations, alas. Dig through old posts to see if anyone has recommended somebody in your area. Otherwise, perhaps somebody else will chime in!
Welcome again,
Scott
