Trevor is very well respected in the Land Rover community. People refer to him as "The Rover Whisperer".

He's well-equipped, careful, and thorough. While Jags are not his bread-and -butter, I'm certain he's good with them.

He also has a family connection to Joseph Lucas, for what that's worth...

I found a shop in Brunswick, Maine and the owner knows how to work on jags and Has one of his own. He restored it. And he has been working on my jag and has done a great job with my car. The shop is called Maine Auto in Brunswick, Maine. If you want to call I can give you his number. Just let me know.

Does anyone know of an Independent Jag repair place near Bala Cynwyd PA that will tackle a head gasket replacement on a 2000 XKR?

Thank you!
Jim

Give Cloverleaf Auto Service in Malvern, PA a call (207 Pennsylvania Ave Malvern, PA 19355 - Telephone 610 647 - 5900)

- I used them for all of my Jaguar work when I lived in Wynnewood. Good group of guys, great service, and very knowledgeable. Good Luck!

Thanks in advance!
I just joined the forum. I'm in the Roseland, Livingston, West Orange area.

I have a 2001 S-type and I'm looking for a Jag mechanic. Precision Motors on Bloomfield Ave in Caldwell is where I take my 87 BMW. Ken, the owner, got his training in BMW's. For simple things he will work on a Jag and other models, he's very honest and will tell you if he cannot do the work.

I used to have the same problem until I changed the fuse under the hood on the fire wall. My car is a few years older than yours. It would not hurt to test the fuse.

After reading mention of Motorcars Inc and F40 Motorsports I felt the need to add or maybe clarify an earlier post.
Motorcars Inc. is a bit of a trek from coastal locations in Middlesex County but certainally within range of us in the CT River Valley.. I'm not familiar with their operation but if up in the Bristol area I'll pay them a visit..
F40 Motorsports, headed by Wayne Carini, mentioned in an earlier post is a place one would go if looking to have restoration work done but because of F40's outstanding reputation as a restoration house and the exceptional talent that work there you will need deep pockets to play in their 'sand box'. I see Wayne fairly often (F40 is ten minutes from my home). Wayne is a great guy with very high standards but F40 Motorsports really isn't the kind of operation the majority of us are looking for to do our repairs and service work (the good guys don't work for free). Short of going to a Jaguar dealership I guess the search continues, at least in my area, for an affordable yet proficient independent Jaguar service facility.

They're about 60 miles from where you are, but J&J in Westport CT is a good indie shop specializing in Jaguars. They have the diagnostic equipment and decades of experience with the brand. They're not far from I95 and RT 15 (Merritt). They're familiar with the issues inherent in my model and have been good about tweaking things after the job. My neighbor takes his Alfa there and has been really happy too.

Thanks for the lead Greg. I manage to get down that way every month or so to see my daughter and her kids in Norwalk. I used to live in Rowayton and the last couple of Jags I owned were usually worked on (after hours) by two tech's I knew at Jaguar of Darien which is now gone.

David, I have had the pleasure of stopping in Motorcars Incorporated in Plainville, CT and arriving just after they closed, however he offered to let me in to look around as long as I wanted to, he was prepping a car for an upcoming race. What a nice facility and great friendly people. I visit the area often and will most definitely drop back in during normal hours.
