HiI am looking to get my car checked for rust, any present dealt with and proofed for next winter. Any recommendations for a shop that will do a good job, with experience with the aluminum body of the jags

 

Just got my first Jaguar, 2007 XKR. I used Upton Foriegn Motors is Upton, MA. Bit of a hike from RI but Dana the owner and master jaguar mechanic did an excellent job looking for rust as well as installing new brakes, new tires, oil change, brake flush and new ac drain tubes.

Not sure if he can do the winterizing, but if he can't at least you will get an honest and informed referral.

I use Dana as well. He's a good dude. Like PandaBandit says, if he doesn't do it, he'll probably know someone who will. A while back he looked into my mom's car to confirm the driveshaft center bearing had gone. I decided to tackle it myself (just because) and he gave me a great referral to a shop that would rebuild the driveshaft for me. I ended up buying an upgraded one from them. He's just a super helpful guy.
