XF communication Problems
09 XF 4.2 Luxury replaced battery car k turned car off horn blowing. Started car back up and turned off horn still blowing. Finally got car to turn off with out horn blowing and armed car and went into house. Alarm starts sounding @ 2 am din't know it was my car so thought no more about it. Woke up next day rear brake lights on, key fob not working so used the key to get into car. Everything blank Instrument cluster, Radio screen, and no power to push to start button. Alarm went off when I opened door no head lights no communication only things that work are the horn, map lights, and the seats every thing else is dead. Tested battery with the cables on battery bad test with cables off and the battery is good. Tested fuses on Bcm, and foot well fuse box, and engine compartment fuse box no fuses blown. Can't test with OBD because there is no power. Has anyone on the forum had this type of issue before any Insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks A

Welcome to the forums Acecapone1,
We're an International forum with knowledgeable members around the World. GEOGRAPHICALLY relevant questions are best posted in the REGION forums but TECHNICAL questions inevitably get much wider viewing and response if posted in the appropriate MODEL forum. For your 2009 XF, this is:

Modern Jaguars are very sensitive to battery condition and charge. Even a battery supplied as 'charged' should be charged overnight BEFORE fitting to the vehicle. A partially discharged battery can and does give rise to all kinds of weird electrical errors. Eliminate the simplest possible cause first before looking for more obscure (and expensive) possibilities.
Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.
Enjoy the forums.
