I had a preconception about people with certain types of cars before I bought one. All of which were false.

I was virtually certain I'd be able to make it... However, for some crazy reason I thought that the 27th was Sunday. I sure blew that one. I have stuff that I can't get out of on Saturday (again, because of my own stupidity). I'm going to be thinking about you all (even the ones I haven't even met yet).

Cheers.

I dunno about y'alls in other spots, but the Eastside is under water practically this morning. <rubs chin> I wonder if there's a spot on the Jag I can attach outrigger pontoons to...

I actually bought myself a new set of Motorolla FRS over the summer. SO much nicer than the 20 dollar walmart pair I've been using.

Default Minor Route Change

I would like to propose a slight route change.
We can discuss this at the drivers meeting in the morning.

Our drive to Leavenworth was to have a stop at Nason Creek Rest area on the eastern side of the pass.

I have just learned that Saturday, State Parks are FREE to all. I propose that instead of stopping at Nason, we drive 10 minutes further (still on our planned route) and we visit beautiful Lake Wenatchee State Park. Access is paved, and restrooms are available. I avoided this in our original planning due to park entry fees.

As this is a last minute change, I welcome input, but I think this is a real WIN for our drive!

Vince

Look at the bright side- there's no pressure to detail your car!

I don't have my privacy cover attached - I throw all of my trash all the back straight into the trunk. I might consider cleaning out the trunk. We'll see.

I'm just waiting for the rain to stop long enough to apply Rain-X. Otherwise I'm ready to go.

That's what the Jag referred to the trunk cover piece that attaches to the trunk lid on the inside to shield the contents of the trunk.

Owners know it as "The piece that keeps falling off your hatchback ever time you open the lid"! or that flap on the rear of old style PJs

Man, really wish I could join you all for the drive to Leavenworth, but I just don't have the time - even if I leave Leavenworth early and skip dinner in Issaquah. Looks like the weather will be great for some of the last top down driving of the season.

Oh well. Please post some pictures and maybe I'll see some of you at Griot's Britain vs France Caffeine and Gasoline next Saturday.

I bought my XK used as a first time Jag owner. I brought it into the dealership thinking they'd know whats wrong. The piece as you said - falls off almost immediately after closing the trunk. They didn't think (nor did they know) that it was missing hardware, but recommended they rip the whole lid apart and re-set everything. Glad it just sucks. I prefer it off.

See you guys early!

Meh, I detailed anyway. Rims were filthy. It's a beautiful, clear night. Looks like tomorrow should be awesome.

DB9 Mike dropped out today -- work ran over into HoneyDos. He's just going to Exotics and then going to work.

Aston owners are so fickle.
