Exotics at Redmond Town Center

Exotics at Redmond Town Center
Since there have been several of us showing up to this fun group fairly often this year, I figured I'd start a thread to let us post pics (I, for one, will take pictures of the same cars every week! It just doesn't get old! ) and keep up with who might be showing up from time to time. May 4th was clear and sunny. Swimref, Rahtok and myself were on hand for the eye candy and general shenanigans. Here's a few pics from the day! Post 'em if you have 'em
When: Every Saturday during the pretty months, in by 8:30 AM, out after 11:00 AM. Check http://www.exoticsat.com for Go/No-Go decision the day before. If chance of rain >30%, it will not be held.
Where: Redmond Town Center, Redmond WA, entrance off 166th street in front of the BJ's Restaurant, just off Bear Creek Pkwy. Parking attendants will direct you to a spot and help you line up to park. http://goo.gl/maps/vBGb1

This was my first time at Redmond and my first time showing the car, but I really had a good time. The very coolest part is that they lined up the Jags in a place of honor across from the Lamborghinis in one of the 3 main bays (with the Ferraris, Maseratis, DeTomasos, McLarens, Bentleys, Aston-Martins, Teslas, Cobras, Porsches, and Corvettes). All Bimmers, Mercedes, Audi, and Japanese iron were consigned to the less desirable real estate further down the way. I can't wait for all-British day. It was great meeting Jay and seeing Brian again.

Mmmmm Firebird..... One of my all time favs.... Tried one summer to find an original 68 with the 400HO with cash in hand.... Covered Puget sound only find very few 400's and those I found were not original (It was popular to pull the Pontiac 400 and drop in a more reliable Chevy motor which made the car worthless to me...) <Sigh>
BTW: I'm still having a heck of a time with images on this site....
Your original post for example looks like this: (See Attachments), but when I hit "quote" your images show up in my reply, right up until I submit it then it looks like the first post all over again....
weird....

That is really strange. I actually changed my viewing preference back to Lytebox (after all that work we did) because the forum suddenly changed on me again and I was then unable to see ANY images at all, in posts or otherwise.
I just posted a DIY and the forum censored the word B_A_L_L_S. Really? We have A girls-on-jags thread and I can't talk about rubber *****?

Don't you hate it when you write a long post and the computer glitches and loses the whole thing?
I'll post here since Vince posted in the June Drives thread already: Provided the weather holds out as always, we are planning a drive after the "Jaguar Day" E@RTC event on June 15th. There are already more Jags coming to this event weekly than at many other meet-ups, so I hope the turnout is good. I'd love to invite the non-forums drivers on our excursion as well, which will be bucolic, leisurely and most importantly--paved! Vince already posted the proposed route, which is open for comment.

Our initial destination would be Snoqualmie Falls via 202 and Fish Hatchery road.
168th Ave NE to Unknown road - Google Maps
202 is somewhat traffic laden, but casual enough, and Hatchery Road offers a chance to peal away from cars for a slower pace (Muddy is going to scout this road, as we did not get a chance to drive it, but Google Earth Street views look nice.) The Falls are running strong so it is a nice sight.
Return trip gets the good stuff, as we backtrack 202 just past Falls City
Unknown road to 168th Ave NE - Google Maps
From there, our path intertwines along the scenic Snoqualmie Valley, rich in vast farm lands and sprawling views.

It was Bugatti day at E@RTC. I can't believe I missed it! Somebody posted a boat load of amazing pics in this album:

It's pretty cool. Includes some pics from the picnic at Chateau Ste. Michelle. It would have been quite a sight to see all those lambos caravaning together! Did anybody make it?

Because I can't help myself. Same reason I must play with power tools that I haven't been properly trained on. Try the direct link: https://www.icloud.com/journal/#4;CA...3-BDDD473016B2

"Just had a pleasant talk with Alessandro from San Francisco Mclaren and the Spyder has arrived Also, we just got confirmation that we will also be getting a visit from two very rare and historically significant British race cars. This will be one show you will regret missing. So make sure you get a hall pass for this one. See you all in the morning."

Wow,
That was a fantastic day! Sunshine, beautiful cars and great company! Having access to the the center part of RTC to display our cars was really a treat!
Our drive was great fun, despite traffic and a few snags like festivals taking over major routes! (I remain humbled that you city dwellers navigate that stuff on a daily basis without a second thought! ) We did have a few road bumps to learn from, and that too was good!
7 cars total, with myself, Muddydog, Marko, Swimref, Growler05, Rahtok, and eieio, dodged bicyclists, slow cars, and the occasional Sheriff while trying to find pleasant back roads, which finally led us to Monroe.
Thanks to all and a special shout out to eieio and company for joining in! It was an honor!
Till next time! Cheers!

What a day!
What a great car show! We had a wonderful time wandering around looking at all of the exotics at Redmond, and we really enjoyed the fun run up to the falls and out to Monroe. It was a pleasure meeting the forum folks.
Thanks to all who helped make it a great day! See you next time.

I compiled "my" photos here. (At least two of them are Clever's.) It may take some time for the photos to load, so give it a second if your Internet is slow. Click the picture in the collage if you want to view it larger.
Great day, guys. Good to meet you, eieio
