Local Northwest folks running an F-Type with BPU?
Hello all,
I'm a new owner of an F-Type 3.0L and I'm curious if anyone here is running one of these cars with a tune and lower pulley - these appear to be the biggest bang-for-the-buck upgrade to be had on these cars. I'm specifically interested in feedback on performance and reliability after these modifications.
Thx!

Yep, heaps of us over on the F-Type sub-forum are running a larger crank/lower pulley and associated tune.
The most common set-up is a Velocity AP (VAP) pulley and tune, but a few are running other pulleys and/or other tunes.
For example I am running a Eurotoys pulley with a VAP tune.
The performance upgrade is massive, taking either the base F-Type (340 PS) or the S (380 PS) to 450+ PS, believe me you can really feel the difference!
And it's not just the max power or torque figure, you also get much more "under the curve" in the 2,000 to 5,000 rpm range where it counts, as well as much improved throttle response and some really nice SC whine (at least with the VAP tune, dunno about the others).
I have never read or heard of a single reliability problem with these tunes and I have been running my pulley and tune for two and a half years now with zero problems.
