Default Western Washington All British Field Meet

I know CleverName mentioned this as part of another post with multiple events, but I thought I'd give it it's own thread.

I just registered my car for the "On the Field" category, so I'll be there.

You can find more information here:

Western Washington All British Field Meet

Registration costs $35 if done before the 15th. After that, it costs $50. Better get on it, if you are planning on attending.

Now, I really need to get busy primping and polishing.

I really hope that some of you come, it would be nice to meet some more folks from the forum. Chime in below if you're going to be there.

Debating. Forecasts in the 90's and zero shade at that venue can make for a long day ...

I would go but I'll be on vacation. Wish the timing was different...

Very good chance I'll be there as a spectator. I missed last year, much to my frustration. This is just too cool an event to accidentally miss, and an hours drive is easily countered, the second you see the display field! If your showing, I'll do my best to hunt you down!

I keep asking (whining mostly) the support staff to relegate an advanced parking lot for British parking only..... but it falls on deft ears. <sigh>
Last time I attended, the parking lot was full of beautiful British cars that like myself, came to 'appreciate' rather than attend the whole event.

You have to admit, people coming from parking lots three rows back would see the closest lot full of some stunning British craftsmanship. A prelude to what they are yet to see, has its own rewards.

Just whinin'... errr I mean sayin'....

See ya there!

Last day to register at the cheaper price!

I'm spending the weekend shampooing and polishing getting ready.

Hahaha!

No, there is no hope for me! All the primping is going into the car.

I wonder if my looks could be improved with a DA polisher??? Hmmmm...

I'll miss this year due to Vacay. But it's a decent show, for sure.

So I have evening obligations starting around 4:30ish.
What is the earliest a spectator can arrive and see the event with all cars in place?

I copied this from their website:

7:30 am – 8:00 am
Only WWABFM staff, club volunteers and helpers, all requiring passes, are on-site to set-up the event.

8:00 am – 9:00 am
Set-up for the Town Square Swap Meet and Vehicles for Sale areas.

8:00 am – 10:00 am
Vehicle placement on the field and “Day of Show” registration.

9:30 am – 3:00 pm
The Town Square Swap Meet and Vehicles for Sale are open for business.

10:00 am – 3:00 pm
The WWABFM Booth is open! As only a very limited amount of official event regalia is for sale at the booth, order your Regalia items before July 1. Several clubs will have their Regalia for sale at their club tent as well.

10:00 am – 4:00 pm
British vehicles are on display. Vote for your favorite car in its class.

1:00 pm
Balloting Deadline

3:00 pm
Awards Ceremony

4:00 pm
Vehicles allowed to exit the show grounds.

Wow, what a day. There must have been over 400 British cars on display. It was hot, but well worth going.

Here's a few photos.

Awesome shots MrWhite!

I got a late start (10ish) coming from the peninsula, and by the time I hit 405, everything was at nearly a standstill all the way up the eastern side of Lake Washington. After an hour of bumper to bumper crawling I surrendered and turned around somewhere near Frys.
Arrrrggg!!!

Sigh... I should have paid more attention to how far north the park was, and taken the Kingston boat.

Anyhow thanks again for the pics, and sorry I missed it all....

Sorry you missed it. I wondered if you had come by while I was off looking around. Traffic sucks!

How frustrating! Traffic has gotten bad. The pics of the meet are awesome. What a turn out. Thanks for posting MrWhite!
