Anyone interested in getting a bunch of us together and filling up a Sonic, or something similar, full of Jags in the DFW area let me know.

Off topic but can you recommend a local shop to do my EBC rotors and pads? I have done brakes before but I am not interested in doing them this time. I just want a good shop to do the install of the EBC rotors and redstuff pads that I am purchasing. I am in west Plano. Any help appreciated. Thanks

moto, if you want to coordinate an event, I know of several DFW members that would do their best to come, including me.
I would think a fun event would include food, park-and-car-talk, and a short scenic drive with some nice turns and views. We could also include a photography shoot for our cars if we can find a nice backdrop during our drive. I'd do the photos...but it may take some coordination of the route and the parking spot. But, as I said, I'll be glad to help if you want to take lead on the project.
tarheel, not familiar with any plano-dallas area independents. If you want some Ft Worth area recommendations, let me know...that I can assist with.

Tarheel,
Good to see another Carolina transplant in here. I'm from SC where it's perfectly normal to yell "Go *****!" at a football game. Check out the website: www.jimsjagshop.com I went by there the other day but the owner wasn't in. I'm going to get him to put in my rear hub bearings since I don't have a press here. He's right off of 35e.
As far as getting people together, the eat, talk cars and cruise sounds good to me. I'm new in here so I don't really know anyone yet. I'll be glad to scout out a location if I can figure out where everyone is located so I can try to get as close to neutral ground as possible. Anyone interested can call.
Thanks, Chris 803-528-1616

Dont worry about trying to find a central location, just focus on the drive and food
we'll travel to get there.

How about making it a DFW/Austin joint drive/meet-and-greet? There's a few good drives in between - especially away from the interstates. There are lots of good country roads near Glen Rose/Meridian/Hico/Gatesville area. Nearer to DFW - Waxahachie has more than 200+ structures on national registers, those would make a really nice backdrop I would think .....

OK, I'm thinking we could meet at the Sonic in Roanoke at around 11:30am on Saturday Nov 13th. Hang out there for 30 minutes or so and get to meet each other, cruise up through Justin, Ponder and Krum(not a lot of lights) cut back over to 35W and come back to Roanoke for either Babe's chicken, Twisted Root burger or Cowboy Chow and take over downtown Roanoke. The cruise should only take about 45 minutes and will get our feet wet as to how it's going to work out. If this sounds good, spread the word and we'll meet there unless it's raining. I'll be in my black '93 XJS convertible. We could stop in Justin if anyone wanted to check out the boot factory.

8470,
Looks like we were typing at the same time. I'm actually going to Austin the week after this. I'm game for getting us all together if this works out.

crap, just now saw the follow up on this thread! I'm sorry, tomorrow isn't good for me. I would really like a couple weeks to sticky the thread and get some commitments from others. Let's try this again, soon...or wait for a early spring drive, just over 60 so the top can come down.

Tarheel72,
check out www.JagMacJaguarTexas.com This is a father/son team that knows Jags inside and out. I have used them for almost 4 years for my 02 Jag XJ8 and found them to be knowledgeable, competent and dependable. You can trust their diagnostics and advice. They are at 2320 Merrell Road, Dallas, TX 75229 (972-241-5747). They are a near neighbor to the Jim's Jag Shop that MOTO250cr mentioned, so you couldd easily visit both in one trip.

I agree....i'm new...just had my Jag transported in last week. I'd love to help coordinate an event. I actually use to be in a car club back in the day and am good at coordinating events. I'd like to put something together for the Spring.....I'll start setting something up if anyone is interested!
