Hey right on, Ed! I also have some pull with some sponsors if we make this a big thing. I guess I need to know how many Jag owners are in TX area (and where)...this will determine what sponsors may be able to do for us.
Also, I could use some route ideas....give me your suggestions. I was thinking of linking up with another auto forum to make this a bigger event...feedback welcomed!

Got a question for those interested in getting together at the start of the Spring:
There is a car show going on up in Wichita, KS on March 20th 2011. Its a 5 1/2 hour drive, the event is on a Sunday from 11am - 5pm and I know the owner well, which means I can try to get us incentives to go, such as free entry.
....would that be too far of a drive???
other incentives may include discount on gas and/or free food/drinks from an interested sponsor and beautiful models just for our cars. Please answer by Feb. 20th.

A little far for me, sorry. If it was within 100 miles I would be up for it. I try to keep my Jag near home in order to keep mileage and road dings at a minimum. thanks for the efforts though.

eddieboy, I love your enthusiasm! I think a more local (within an hour...2 max) would get a greater participation number. There are probably 4-5 jag owners that I know personally in the DFW area that would be up for a meet, just need a decent notice ahead of time.

Here's a thought
Hi everyone, been reading this thread, and thought I would offer up Blue Ridge, a small town off the beaten track 13 miles NE of Mckinney, some nice curvy roads and a few decent pit stops down the curvy roads a few miles.
It so happens that I live there on 40 Acres that has a barn with a lift in it, if you want look at the dirty side of your car or whatever.
I just bought (December) a 1997XK8 and love it, this forum has been a big help and seems to have a lot of proper folks. So if your looking for a quick getaway to some country air, I'd love to have a picture of 5 or 6 XK's in front of my double wide.

How about a meet in the Grapevine area, several restaurants off of 114, Hooters, Bone Daddy's (a trend there...), Buffalo Wild Wings, Red Robin.. etc...plenty of parking. Centrally located, easy access from just about any direction. Have a few drinks, meet everyone and tell lies.

I'm at Bone Daddy's in Grapevine every Friday from 11:30 to 12:30 or 1:00 for lunch. I will meet there ANYTIME. My favorite place to hang since I moved here. I started this post eons ago. It's about time we all met up. I'm going to the Supercross tomorrow but any other day is fine by me.

I hope you guys get a date picked soon, I need some ideas before I buy my XK!
I was a founding member of the DFW LX club. Best thing is to pick a date several weeks in the future at a somewhat accessible venue and just see who can make it and then the next time move it closer to where most of the guys are that do make it.
We had great events at dealerships or indys who loved the "free" carshow in their lot. They usually supply free food and drinks if you tell them what you are doing.
