Hello everyone, i am about to show u something that is about to make everyone on here cringe in disgust as to what i did with my xk8. In texas and surrounding states, the car culture for slabs is riding on rims that poke out called swangas, or 84's . Weld rim company produced the 30 spoke rim back in 1979 for cadillacs and buick fwd cars. it became a phenomenom hit to the customized car lovers down south, if u aint poking you joking is the termonolgy. Well I do these types of cars for a living, and kinda got tired of doing the normal slab worthy cars so i decided to trick out my 99 xk8 with only 65k miles on it to date. I motorized the trunk on actuators so it opens and closes with the flip of a switch, installed custom neon lighting on the trunk, put 4 -12" subwoofers along with a custom fiberglass cover with a acrylic mirror led neon setup as well to contain the bass inside the car when the trunk is open. I installed a flip[ face kenwood navigation system, and also took out the back seats and created a super loud surround sound setup with 12 pioneer 6x9's also covered with a custom jaguar themed fiberglass cover with speaker cloth to allow the sound to flow thru .It sounds amazing, with the top down u can hear it coming from a mile away. It has 3 extra optima batteries in the trunk as well,4 amplifiers, a custom grill and hid lighting for the headlamps and fog lamps... The wheels I got custom made are the longest poking wheels in the worls, they extend out 15 inches from the lip . I also put a continental kit on the back so i can recline the wheel down and allow u to see they trunk easier. I sell the wheels under texan wire wheels for $1750 each , $8750 for all 5. I know NOBODY in here would ever do this to this car but i am a different breed and like to go against the grain lol.. check it out....

I have absolutely no problem with someone making his or hers car custom as they see fit, but I do have a problem with racism being a part of it. And we wonder why it's still in the news today with the Zimmerman trial. Have fun and let your imagination go crazy with your car but leave the racism statements off! Just my two cents.....

Thanks for taking the time to share....
I'm sure you must have put quite a bit of time and money into it, and sure there may be those out there that love and appreciate it.
I'm sorry to say its really not for me, I'd much prefer the car just clean n stock with perhaps a few simple mods to be honest, but we're all different.

My thought too. I doubt I'd make it out the driveway around here without being stopped. Guess narrow streets or regular parking lots are out of the question.
