I guess I should say hello in this section as a long time member but recently added my full time residence in Houston (Bellaire area). My Jaguar isnt out here now but I might eventually have it shipped out here. If people organize a meet though Id love to come by and say hello!

I saw an immaculate 2003 XKR coupe here today at the DIY pay and spray and talked to a nice gentleman who owned it. He said he checked out the site here already, great seeing other people on the road who take great care of their cars!

I'm also interested in a local meet, as well as a recommendation for a great and honest independent Jaguar repair shop. I would like to have my Jaguar thoroughly inspected and trust the resulting recommendations. I'm in Houston.

We don't seem to have enough Jag's (or perhaps interest) to get a meet together in the DFW area (too bad). Good luck getting your Houston meet together.
The best place in DFW to have your Jag serviced is AutoScope, specifically the one on Ferguson Road. Chris, the Manager, is really on top of it and knows Jag's inside and out.

There are definitely enough Jags in the Houston & DFW metro areas... just not enough interest - at least via this forum. Have you tried the local JCNA chapters?

How are the dealers for service? I have the Jag 6yr/100,000 mile CPO warranty...I've had great luck with Park Place on my Lexus...but was wondering about PP Jag in Plano.

I pick up the car next week in Troy, Michigan...decent priced XK convertibles were darn hard to find...sigh. Hope this turns out great...I love the look of the car and the reviews..

I had my wife's Lexus serviced at PP plano . Thought I would give them a try on 2001XJR Needed a water pump bolt. PP Quoted $13.40 ." now there's your sign".
Bought it for $6.25
Asked for some info on Jag engine via E-mail no response.
Could not get any help on service records on my XJR either.
Personally for my Jag its a trip to Decatur!

I have used the dealers in Dallas & Plano, both are OK but expensive.
Last year, I needed some major work done on my XK8 and because of the cost, I looked around.
I found a place called Auto Scope (they have three locations in Dallas). Tried two of the three and found I liked the one on Ferguson road (AutoScope-White Rock) 214-320-8280 the best (may not look like much - the location by Love airport looks much better, but service not as good), but the manager at the Ferguson location is really responsive, knows Jags (has one) and his service team is top notch.

Thanks Jstephen. Relocating from Cary, North Carolina (suburb of Raleigh). Only been here for 4 years, pit stop from Los Angeles, CA. But had Alfa Romeo's in CA (sold before relocation to NC). Bought the XJ in Atlanta, GA and drove it back up :-) she's coming with me to Austin - no selling.

Glad to see more Jags in East Texas. We have five here in Holly Lake Ranch. I own two and a friend owns two. I see another one around but don't know who owns it.

I would be very interested in a Jag meet somewhere in the eastern part of the state. Please put it on the forum if anyone hears of one.

Love to put together a Jag meet. Possibly somewhere in between. We are in Dallas (I believe you are about 2-hours from the Dallas area). Perhaps in Terrell. Any suggestions?

Count me in for a DFW and surrounding area Jag meet. Any excuse to get the car out on the highway and the top down. Just need a bit of notice.

Hi J. Actually I live about seventy miles east of Dallas in a gated community called Holly Lake Ranch which is just north of Hawkins. This is what is know as the piney woods area. But it is a fur piece from Dallas. But I woud be willing to work with anyone planning a meet east of Dallas. I tried that when I was a member of the Dallas chapter of the national Jag club but got no interest. But I am willing to help any way I can.
