Default Tucson Jag owners

Any fellow Tucson-ans out there? If so are any of you a part of the Jaguar Club of Southern Arizona? If so how is the JCSA? I am looking to join in on them soon into the future.

Hey RoadHouse, I live in Tucson. I have also thought about joining the JCSA but just haven't gotten around to it. You have a nice Jag. How long have you had it? Where abouts in Tucson do you live?

Thanks Patterson.
I bought it on Aug 26th (the day before my 27th birthday) so just a little over a month. Thanks for the compliment too.

Yeah I keep meaning to send in my $30 for the fee but just seem to keep forgetting about it :-/

I live off of Speedway and Kolb. How about you?

Haha me too, I believe if you wait until November, the Jag club waves the fee and you simply pay $60 in January to be a member for 2011. Something like that anyway!

I live near the Tucson mall. we should hang out sometime, I'll send you a PM.

Default Jag diagnostics

Hi, follow Tucsonan Jag owner here ( XJ8 ). Are either of you into advanced Jag diagnositics with OBD-II scanners? I'm looking at an AutoEnginuity PC based scanner that reads Jaguar specific codes in most all control systems of the vehicle.

I'm not familiar with Advanced Jag diagnostics. How much are you looking to spend on the AutoEnginuity scanner? I wonder if it reads other types of Jags besides the XJ8? All Jags?

Default AE scanner

Patterson, I picked up the AE scanner, it will work with all new Jags 2000 and up. Let me know if you want a scan of your Jag computer. It reads every sensor and can even reset ABS code. I'm having trouble making it connect to my passenger seat module and trying to debug an restraint system issue. and would like to try it on another Jag to see if it at least connects.
Thanks, bob

Bob,
Sure, if you'd like to scan my Jag to make sure your unit is communicating we can meet in Tucson.

I passed AZ state emissions testing a few months back and they connected a scanner/reader to my car, everything went smoothly. Let me know if this Saturday or Sunday would work for you. I live near the Tucson Mall.

Tucson Jag owner here needing help with replacing oil pan gasket and possibly front struts. Car is an 2005 S-type V6 4 door. Money is very tight so I am looking for a good mechanic (not dealership prices) or advice on how to do gasket job myself. Feel free to email me at Bryan@TucsonComputerRepairs.com

Hi all,
I live in Sierra Vista Az. About 1.5hrs southeast of Tucson. I just bought 2000 XKR vert supercharged 2-weeks ago. I'm in Tucson 1-3 times a week.
As far as scanners, I have a Auto X-ray OBD 2 scanner. Will it not work on Jaguars?? Where is the testing port at on XKR if anyone can tell me? Just been enjoying the Jaguar, haven't thought about scanning it...lol...
We all should meet up one day on Tucson, just to do a meet and greet thing??

I am going to be planning an evening down in Tucson on 9/10. I will be coming in from out of town for some training up in Phoenix but want to make a stop down in Tucson to eat at El Charro - downtown. I have to pay some thanks to those people who have helped me out in the past. If you are interested, let me know. I'm only down in that area for a few days and will be spending most of the time up in the Phoenix area.

Jaghag, I am driving down to Tucson tonight. I am going to be at EL Charro - Downtown around 5:30 and will be eating supper down there. IF you have the time, stop by. You will be able to recognize me as I will be wearing a black T-Shirt with "Goat Locker" across the back. Hopefully we can meet up. i will PM you my cell phone number so it will be easier to get into contact with each other.

I live just south of Tucson, in Green Valley. New to Jaguar. I own a 2001 XK8, British Racing Green with a Tan top. Drives beautifully but has a list of electrical problems.

Tucson here. Far South East.
Looking for some help here with my AC. I keep getting the run-a-round while getting my money taken from me. Any Jag owners here in Tucson that are knowledgeable with AC? Feel free to email me at BKSinAZ@yahoo

Anyone here in the Tucson or Vail area that can change my oil pan gasket? I can't afford having the dealership do it. I am not asking for a freebie.

2005 S-Type V6. Engine would have to be lifted slightly.

hey fellow Tucson owners, I'm also in Tucson. Just recently bought 2011 XF, sterling silver, V8. noticed not much Tucson activity lately, but thought I'd give a shot and see if there are any other XF owners around that have maybe modded their exhaust. I'd like to do a resonator delete to get more growl out of the cat, but kinda hoping to hear one in person. Anyway, great car, loving the Jag.
