This auction currently has a reserve. We are wondering if we need to lower it. Any input on what this car is worth would be greatly appreciated. This 1954 Jaguar XK120 SE roadster is a non-running project that was initially acquired by my late brother in 1962, sold in 1965 and repurchased in 1967. Engine turns and pistons move freely (see video). The engine was replaced with a MK II cylinder head and a MK VII or a MK VIII engine block. The body number matches the data plate. We were not able to see the chassis number. We did not verify the gearbox number. An aftermarket fiberglass hardtop accompanies the vehicle, along with the removed bumpers, brake components, soft top frame, side curtains, trim pieces, and interior components. The car was vandalized in 1969 and has been in storage since then. My brother planned to restore it and started the prep by removing all interior coverings, most of the exterior trim and filling small dents with body filler. Nearly all the removed components are included in sale. The only known missing components are the radio & amplifier, antenna, air cleaners, tool kit and trunk handle. Unfortunately, due to family issues and his own health, my brother never did start the restoration. See BaT listing (link above) for more details. Thanks!
