Smile Beauty Cover removal 2012 XJL

Whoever has a 2011 thru current XJL, how do you remove the beauty cover? Various years dictate different technique. There are no visible screws on cover. I have heard various ways that seem to conflict. Anyone have a personal experience with above said models? I haven't read every post or thread, so show some love.

Welcome to the forums JD1,

96 Views but 0 Replies to your question so far. I think other members may be wondering the same as me - just what do you mean by 'beauty cover'?

Well, this is how you remove the fascia over the intake and valve covers. Gently pull up on both sides and pull toward you. There are two nipple bushings under the middle of the cover and the back has two slide grommets. When installing, gently slide the back in to place and make sure you seat the nipple bushings onto the undercover, then give a gentle push on top of the cover or you can break stuff plus you can get your knickers in a knot.

Is this the Engine Cover?

If you have the 5.0 engine, I can understand the question. The trained technicians at my franchised Jaguar Dealer are incapable of refitting it.
