Finally found SF Bay Area people. Fun! I'm in Danville. Still a couple fix it issues then looking forward to more enjoy the roads moments. Does this thread notify people when something new is added so I won't miss any news on gatherings?
Appreciate the reference to Bacchus British in Dublin. Anyone have other recommendations for mechanics in area? I am also looking to get my seats recovered.
Hope to see you on a drive or gathering soon.
Oh! BTW I'd be happy to 'host' an informal social. I live in a beautiful home with an outstanding view of the East Bay hills.

I live in Pleasant Hill, about 20 minutes North of you. Joe's Foreign auto in Walnut Creek has always done right by me. Randy/Rand is the best indy Jag mechanic I have found. I feel confident recommending them to friends and family.
And welcome to the board.
An informal social is a good idea, if suggest a time and date, that will get the ball rolling. I would be happy to come.

Upholstery in Bay Area
I've used a couple of shops. The guy that did the best work was Tony at Top Notch Upholstery. He did my entire headliner over and built my custom arm rest (hated the cup holders). Nice work and reasonable. By the way you can buy nice leather seat covers on eBay (did that with my old XK8) for around $600, you'll still need Tony or someone else to install them but it'll save you a ton to go that way. (below are some shots of Tony's work, followed by the new seat covers on the XK8)
Here is the Yelp link to Tony:
Top Notch Upholstery - Willow Glen - San Jose, CA.

All,
The posting for a January Jaguar Run is now posted at the below link.

FYI,
BAJr's (BAy Area Jaguars) is an informal group that gets together for a drive, lunch and conversation on an irregular basis. No dues, no stress, just have a good time. We have in the past year been to Napa, Monterrey and North of the Bay Bridge.

I should have all the bugs worked out of my two year Jaguar build by the first week of August and hopefully sooner; when are you Bay Area guys going to have your next drive in August? I saw the Yosemite Sept 20-21 cruise on this Western Region and signed up for that which is a drive for any cars; are there any of you Bay Area Jag owners going to go? I would like to get to know more local Jag owners now that I am a soon to be Jaguar cruiser..

I'm not Dan, but have a suggestion that you try Hills Motors. John there is a whiz at anything Jaguar, as are the others. They're on the east side of the tracks, adjacent to the underpass near Molly Stones grocery at El Camino and 42nd (or thereabouts, can't remember exactly). They offer loaners, or did, if you need one. Some of these are pretty nifty Jags, too.
