Sounds like we have a plan.

@Crispy

That would be great. I get confused with all the acronyms...... remind me what you can do with a WDS ? I'm assuming you can check fault codes for everything (ie engine, chassis, comms, etc)

Can it change factory settings like "global open" or "mirror fold" or "alarm chirp" ?

It's the old dealer computer for 2006(?) and under. It can do keys, fobs, codes (including clearing check engine), diagnostics, module flashing, and yes, changing dealer options including all you mentioned. Things like mirror fold obviously require the hardware is installed. The newer IDS has better updates since 2006 for module flashing, but I did my transmission after getting some faults and it saved me a trip to the dealer.

Most likely I will be at Alice's this weekend. I'll talk to them about a table reservation and etc.

There are might be some issues with parking all the cars in one place as many bikers like to stop by there and they fill up everything LOL.

@Crispy

That's great. I will be your biggest customer. My list : 1) TCM reflash. I haven't done one since I bought the car and I have a bit of a ZF lurch issue 2) Enable Global Close 3) See if I have any CAN faults that could explain why half of my Rear Entertainment is not working

@Nardo

That would be great. A lot of Jags in the same place is usually a great sight and I'm sure it would draw people in to the restaurant

Yeah!

I'd like to enable Global Close too.

Looks like I'll be the only one with an X-type haha )

Any votes to possibly move it to the 17th?

If you have a 2006 then I'd be surprised if your TCM version is older than what is on the WDS, but we can always check it out. I wouldn't downgrade if yours is newer. Make sure your battery is good and charged (throw it on the battery charger the night before if it's borderline). The TCM will only flash if it's over 12.1 volts.

The rest won't be an issue.

We'll probably have more luck parking across the street in front of the general store. The Harleys won't move for any cages, even shiny Jag ones!

Yep, I just fitted a new battery a few weeks back when I started to get various weird issues. I'll put it on the trickle charger the night before though.

Default TCM reflash

Exactly what is this? Will this reset all the sensors for throttling?
I have a small lurch or uneven acceleration from a stop. Seems to come and go. Odd.

Second call for the 17th ?!!!?

I'd prefer to stick to the 10th, but I also can do it on June 17th.

Default 10th or 17th

I have to fly to Orlando on the 18th so I'd prefer the 17th but can do the 10th.

Search the list for info on TCM, I'm sure the info there is better than any hack description I can give. It controls the transmission and updates to the logic can affect when the car shifts base on various factors (gear, speed, rpm, etc).

I can do either 10 or 17th

Hi guys,

I've talked to their manager about reservation and etc. today, and I was told that they don't usually make reservations on weekends. I did not insist as I'm not sure how many people are coming, but we agreed that once we know everything for sure - we'll give them a call or I'll come there by 9-9.15am, so we should be ok to get a table.

98% that we won't be able to put all cars together but we'll figure something out.

Lightbulb New location

There has got to be a dozen restaurants that have areas that will accommodate a few Jags. Alice's is a landmark, but it is isolated and as noted, limited parking.
The whole idea of getting together is the CARS. Together and showing them off.

Lets find something off 101 or 280, easy access for all. With parking.

Morning,

I thought the idea is to meet the car-mates, have a nice chat and breakfast. It's not a car show LOL

@ rocam81 any thoughts about another place to meet at?

P.S. There are plenty of nice places on the route. For example
Apple Jack's Inn But I've never been there.

Default Hobee's in Sunnyvale off 101

Coffee cake and omelets are renown at Hobee's, good coffee too.
Easy off 101 in SV - see links below.
Driving Directions - Hobee's Restaurant - Sunnyvale, CA
Hobee's Restaurant - Sunnyvale, CA

There is a Motel 6 directly behind the restaurant, should be plenty of parking, as there is limited parking in front, as with most urban, good locations.

How about this for the 17th? (I can still do the 10, whatever the majority wants is cool).

I'm ok both dates 10th or 17th, but prefer 10th

I'd prefer to see the cars together. My cars are a lot better looking than me, so you'd have a better time looking at them than me :-)
