Jag Techs Western US
Some of the members have been asking about Jag Techs and their locations by region.
If you are a Jag Tech please feel free to post your approx location details here for all to see. Obviously to protect your privacy and annonymity, basic info only.
That way members can see at a glance what Techs if any are in their area that may be able to assist them.
Further - If anyone has any dealership reccommendations / Independant Jaguar specialists in their area that they would like to put forward, please post up with the Details, location and contact details for other members to see.
The Idea is that this will benefit all members within that locale and help to identify the dealerships that offer the best service and value for money.

Thank you
Jim

I had very good service from this guy when my 2000 VDP engine destroyed itself with the help of the timing chain tensioners. He found a very good used engine and completely updated it to the latest specs.
He was trained at Jaguar and worked as a service tech before starting his own small shop.

Utah Independent Jaguar Tech
My shop is well tooled and capable with Jaguar. We have experience all the way back to e-type engine building and as modern as factory-level diagnostics, module coding, and ecu software updates for 1996 and newer. We have lots of european experience and are a real go-to shop with the difficult problems.
Check us out online at: www.integrityfirstauto.com
The first 5 jags to come in for service (that mention this ad) can take $20 off the bill.
Thanks!
Damian

Where are they?
I have a 2003 X Type with a valve, piston or rod problem. I'd like to talk to these folks and am in the East Bay.
Thanks

OK. I see they're in Fremont and will call them.
I imagine there are others in the East Bay. Who are they? Anyone know anyone?

2003 X Type
I'm in East Bay, Nor Cal, but maybe could get the car down there if we can cut a deal and turn around is livable.
2.5 V-6 with a piston, rod or valve problem, according to the "I don't work on Jaguar" mechanics I've talked to about the problem. Hear the sort of fluttery sound I at first hoped was an out of alignment fan hitting a housing on the radiator. Hear it on slight acceleration between say 2,500 - 3,000 RPM and slightly audible on starting the thing.

Also in the OC, Viking Motorsports in Costa Mesa, CA is an independent Jaguar service facility. Harry Appleby has extensive experience with Jaguar, Lotus, and Range Rover etc. repairs and service. I have relied on Viking to service my Jaguar (2001 S Type) and my 1974 Jensen Healey. They have never failed to please.
