Kudos to Derek and the crew at WC Motoring in LV, located on Valley View near Russel. Not only did Derek beat all deals, even the internet mount and balance deals, and help me find exactly what I wanted. But Derek offered to pick up and drop off my XKR due to an unexpected surgery that sidelined me for a couple of weeks. Not many left out there that aren't afriad to differentiate themselves from the flash in the pan internet brokers. Thanks again, D.

I encourage all to check out WC Motoring when you're in the market.

Default iPhone

I had a little difficulty getting my IPhone4 to sync with my 07 XKR. Jaguar's "official" position is that some phones won't work with the vehicle, so I'm not surprised Gaudin didn't bother helping. I read a few blogs and the consensus was to try several times to get your system to recognize your phone. My car would not pick up my phone until I ran the connect mode at least 3-4 times. I eventually did get my car to recognize my phone and now it works every time. In fact, I did have the same experience as you did prior to getting the Bluetooth to work properly. Hopefully, a little patience will pay off for you. Good luck.

I wonder of that big spool of t-wire I have in my trunk will unroll evenly as I drive...so I can stay connected to my landline? That wil eliminate signal issues...but it's gonna be a b*tch to roll up again.

Hello fellow Jag owners of Nevada.
I have a 1994 XJS, and wanted to join your chat.
Looking for dependable mechanic.
I know better than to go to Gaudin.
Any experiences with Frank's Mercedes?
Best,
Oktoberjag

Norri, I know you posted this back in March and done been and gone, but.......for future reference for ALL coming to Vegas with a car you love, NEVER EVER give your car to Valet. You wouldn't believe the paces these Valet folk put your car through in that short little drive to where they put it. Most places in town if ou have a nice car and a couple extra bucks will let you park it out front right in the porte cachere.

Default European Motor Cars

Try European Motor Cars, they worked on my XK8 and I was happy with them. Honest and reasonable. Good Jag tech.

Default Finding good repair

I just checked back and found nine7xks had asked me what is wrong with my XJS..sorry for the delay.
Really nothing, I just wanted to have a few gaskets replaced. Getting a small leak from somewhere up front and from the differential.
I see a few shops mentioned, so will start checking them out.
Any thoughts on Frank's Mercedes?

Default Franks

Frank's has a good reputation. I have not used them myself.
I still like EMC. There is also southern Nevada Motorsports on North Rancho.
702 561 1114 ask for Jon. He is a great mechanic and has worked on many cars for me over the last 4 years. Very good for all basic stuff.

Well, we finally made it. Does anyone go to the C&C on Eastern? I went yesterday, but there was a really poor turnout because of ... heavy fog. Fog? What's up wth that? Isn't this Las Vegas?

A very good friend of mine just bought a '97 XK8 with only 27k miles. She lives in Vegas and is smart and tech savvy but does not know Jags. Can anyone here recommend an independent Jag shop? Thanks,

Mark

a lot of these shops in vegas claim they know xk8,s but once they get them its all trouble. can some one do me a favor on this thread. I just put a new transmission in and did all tensioners and guides for my engine. now it runs kind of ruff and I can't quite tell how my vacuum is supposed to be set up. can some one take a picture of the vacuum lines from the throttle body . different angles would be appreciated. thx
