17" alloys to 19" alloys on my A6

Jim, that's what I was saying. You can get the ebay hubcentric rings (spigot rings) and hope they are well made and precisely measured or get a machine shop to make you four, high grade aluminum, rings with outside diameter of exactly the bore size of the new wheel and inside diameter of exactly your hub size. No guessing or hoping. You get exact hub centric rings. I went through this experience. For less than $100 CAD I had hub centric wheels with zero vibration after trying the vendor supplied rings, that were probably less than a millimeter off, but caused a noticeable vibration at speeds over 100 km/hour.

Ok....so I got my spigot rings today ( for reference they need to reduce from 66.6mm approx to 57.1mm )...hallelujah!!!
Anyhow, took them to my KF friends and for a small drinking voucher they quickly balanced n changed all 4 wheels for me.
It is absolutely chucking it down big style. the skies are gray and its cold wet n generally miserable, but I managed a few quick snaps on my crappy camera phone as I really wanted to share
Ok, if I'm being really picky, then yes, I'd like it lowered 30mm or so, but, it doesn't look half bad as is IMO
Dunno, if its the Khumos or the "brand new " tyres, but I had a few slips n spins where I wouldn't normally have had even with the worn Conti's?
I'm unsure as to whether to put that down to wet greasy roads or the "new" rubber.........either way I'll be cautious until I get the feel of it!
I'll try n post up better pics when I can ( If the weather ever breaks again ?? )

I like em! I didn't even notice the wheel well gap, and to be honest, that seems even smaller than mine. The are almost flush with the lip, I like that. Those new tires are cold and will be a little slick on the first few drives, especially in the rain. Once the outer rubber is scrubbed off, the grip should return.

Thanks once again for all the positive replies / comments guys, much appreciated
She's pretty filthy, the weather is terrible AND it was a really poor camera phone pic......I will honestly try to get some better pics when she's cleaned up, the sun is out and I have a better camera to hand.......Please don't hold your breath as it may be some time....
Note to self - next thing, remove the wheels thoroughly clean the wheel well liners and repaint the calipers and hubs as there is even more on show now. It may be early spring before I can achieve this though!

Ok guys, thanks again for the comments AND reminding me that I needed to post up some CLEAN pics.
Anyhow, spent a few hours and got her all spruced up for her photoshoot, so here are some better quality camera pics, although I'm no photographer

I still think I'd really like her lowered maybe 30mm - 40mm for a really aggressive looking stance. TBH she doesn't look as jacked up as I thought she may have done so all in all I'm well pleased.

Those are a HUGE improvement over the previous wheels. I always get this happy feeling when reading through these types of posts about how pure and virginal the Jaguar scene is to aftermarket and modifications. The explanation of hubrings is classic.
However, in the long tradition of more mature aftermarket car scenes and to repeat something often found in the likes of BMW, Audi, VW and Mercedes forums, I must say it "needs moar low"
Cheers

Thanks for the comments Mike, appreciated
Vanity plates - Love em and had em for around 6 years now I guess. I got them for a steal at the time £500 fitted to the car all in.
Ideally I'd love JC 1 but the last time I checked it was about £40k......probably a little more now, about the price on a new 2011 XKR probably...lol
