2007 XK 18" Rear Tire Size Variation
My low VIN 2007 XK Handbook and B pillar placard specifies 275/40 ZR18 tires for the 18" wheel rear tires.
When researching replacement pricing both the dealer's service advisor and parts manager referenced print-out sheets for the specific model, which stated the size as 255/45 ZR18. The parts manager seemed incredulous until he saw the handbook and B pillar.
When the year/model is clicked on the web sites of Michelin, Continental and Tire Rack the 255/45 size is indicated.
The Discount Tire web site indicates 275/40.
Either there was a change within the model year or there's a misinformed data base in cyberspace.
It's my impression that most 2007 XK wheels were larger than 18", but to whom it may concern...
