Apollo rim for '98 XK8
I have a '98 XK8 with 17" wheels and am looking to switch to the 19" apollo style wheels from the 2002-2004 XK8. 2 questions. 1st, can I simply add the new wheels and tires w/o any further modification to the car? 2nd, where is a good place to find these wheels?
thanks

Since I sometimes notice these wheels (since they're on my car) i'll try to give you some help finding a set.
As for the 'bolt on', all will be similar on your car - bolt pattern, offset, etc...no modifications needed. You could even get away from a 'staggered' setup like mine, so if you only found 8" rims, you would still be ok and the car would look really great. Rears are 9" wide from the factory.
Right now, only two 9-inch rears are on ebay. I do see them from time to time, so either buy the rears now, and sit patiently waiting for the fronts to show up, or try the salvage yard route. I do know they are VERY difficult to find used, I tried about 2 years ago to find one...w/o success.
If you want the 'chrome' finish, there's a outfit on ebay selling them as a set...$2,800 or something like that. Personally, I like the brushed aluminum look.
