The overall diameter is 0.68" taller and the section width is 0.8" narower. They are 2.77% larger diameter so I know the speedo will be off by that much. The price difference is $46 per tire from my stock 17" size and $13 less than a stock 205/55R16 size.

The 205/60R16's would be snows so I am looking for a little taller tire and narrower to cut through the snow here in Michigan.

Does anyone have experience with a tire size change like this on their X Type? Any comments on handling or issues would be appreciated.

Are you looking to install them on factory wheels? That will make a difference. As long as you are in the factory wheel offset range 45 -52mm, the only issue you may have due to the taller profile is rubbing on your wheel well liner at full turn. Of course there will also be slightly less room for evacuating snow between the wheel and the liner as well. haven't tried it but that's my thoughts.

 

These would be on aftermarket wheels with about a 48 offset. But that's why I ask if anyone has used this size before, they are narrower and taller. I do recall a post by someone in Canada who used a "taller" tire but now I cannot find the post now.
