mods please add any info and pics in the first post if added by any member , that wud create very informative thread where u dont have to go thru all the pages to find right info
1.
Dorman Part #611117
60-90$ for 20 pieces
2.
the second replacement and actually better in quality and every aspect was through ebay from lachrome
L.A. Wheel and Tire
they run around 120-140$ for 20 pieces
they are actually made for jaguar and hand polished and triple chrome i felt is very very nice
i think they are worth the money if u see the labour goes into chroming them and want exact fitment durable product with great quality
3.
i bought these through john(he deals with ebay) , his email :- John @ DP-accessories.com (sorry for for any missing info)

Kent, WA Tires Wheels Repair Federal Way, WA | Driven Products

grade 5 steel ( all dealerships like freightliner , peterbilt stock this for their own use ) i know grade 8 is better but i wud rather ruin thread on 2$ nut then spend time and money on stud
cold forged , chromed ,
i am very happy with the quality
long term cant say anything
i ordered 24 nuts and only problem i faced was that i cud pull washers off 4 of them but thats only cause when polishing for chrome they might have sanded down the washer stopping grooves a little
i contacted them and getting replacement soon

I bought some of these, 20 for $22.79 shipped...I couldn't figure out how to buy them from the website, I called and the rep didn't think you could order the lugs off the site...He mentioned they used ebay a lot, but I couldn't find them via the provided part number...

Just a quick note on the Dorman 611117 lug nuts...
I recently changed from the factory pieces to the Dorman units. I've had my wheels off and on a couple times installing new brakes and bleeding the calipers. During these changes, I've broken three of the Dorman lug nuts. They give an audible pop, then gradually lose tension as you continue to torque them. The break occurs at the edge where the shank transitions to the nut body. With the washer in place, it is difficult to see the crack.
I haven't yet follow-up with Dorman or Rock Auto (where I bought them) so, don't know whether these are defectively designed or manufactured.
If you do decide to run the Dorman lug nuts, keep a few of the old factory lug nuts around, and be aware of any lug nuts that don't torque up properly.

Lug Nuts (Hopefully)
I'm taking a shot at these for my 2005 VDP, perhaps at my own peril. $20.99 for 20 nuts shipped from China was too good to pass up. I figure the worst I'm out is $21 so it's worth the gamble to me. The gentleman at NTB absolutely mangled 3 of my 5 lug nuts and then blamed me for them being too tight. That conversation didn't end well. Anyhoo, I will report back my findings assuming they arrive sometime this century.

Perfect Replacement!
Hopefully this helps someone out looking for a reasonable replacement for their 2004-2008? XJ lug nuts. As I previously posted, I had concerns about ordering these but for the shipped price of $20.99 it was worth the risk. Turns out, it paid off. These are perfect replacements (12x1.5) and took just four days to get to MA. The only differences are the wrench sizes but chances are you've already replaced the supplied lug wrench with something more substantial anyway. The old nuts were 3/4 / 19mm and these are 13/16 / 21mm. I attached a picture and you can see that they are almost identical except for the goofy covers. Who knows how well they will hold up but they look to be of at least the same quality as any other aftermarket nuts I looked at. Here is the link again, hopefully it will remain valid for a long time.
