I think the H & R springs #29300 are the best and around $300, there is quite a few posts on the issue.

Tire Rack also had the H&R (I bought a set) but the total cost was ~$317 shipped. They make a huge difference in both performance and looks for the STRs

I installed them myself over a weekend. Took me about 6 hours over a weekend taking my time. The part number I bought was #29300, I don't think there is a difference, maybe Tire Rack lists it weird.

I have a question.
i have 05 STR ... updating the spring.. will it affect the electrical damping system on the STR?

how did you change out the spring yourself? did you rent the spring compressor?

thanks

Nope, make sure you plug the electrical connectors in before you turn the vehicle on. Ya just rented a spring compressor and used hand tools. I've done a few sets before so it wasn't overly difficult, but it would have been easier if I had help.

Are the shocks able to handle the lowering without wearing out quicker? I'd love to put the springs on but would not like to replace a $1000 set of shocks every 20,000 miles either..

I will let you know. Usually lowering up to 1.5 inches is ok on stock shocks, but these aren't normal shocks.

X Pipe flows better, changes the sound and Yes I removed the pig cooker resonater......

The shocks should not wear any faster than normal....mine are doing quite fine.....
