No I dont have a dealers license, but I know people in the industry, and I buy from private parties at auction prices. And KBB doesnt determine the actual price of the car. Some dealers will sell a X-Type for $500 profit on top. I always bought all my cars at wholesale price. I dont deal with the dealership period. High markup, dont have any leverage in pricing. Alot of people dont know how cheap the X-Types are, Ford has left alot of depreciation hit on Jaguar. Jaguar losed over 500 Million in 06, and 1Billion in 07. Their sales has plumeted. No one wants to buy a Jag these days. The dealerships have to practically give cars away just to move them. You would be a fool to buy a Jaguar new. 60% Deprecaition in first 2 yearsman.

If they bought a brand new one at the dealership at 27K, they got Ripped Off Severely. I can get an 07 with 2K Miles on it for 19K probaly less. I got the auction results for 07s and they are bad and cheap. Nobody wanted to buy these. At the Jag Dealer they just sold an 07 X-Type 3.0 with 4K Miles for 20K. Jaguars are a rip-off brand new. 60% Of Its Value Gone within 2 years. Are you getting it ? Why you think you got your car for 11K ? Thats not the best deal for 55K Miles, the price should have been 10K.

 

^ Well I did call the 800 number, and they say Headlights are not covered under Select Edition period. At the same time on their warranty contact in Select EditionPassport to Service, it says "Headlamp Aiming" which is very confusing but doesnt say headlight assemblies. Yes the components inside the headlights have been defective which are the auto adjustment. But the dealer wants to charge me $500. This is stupid. Then they say that SE covers defects, and my lights are defective. This makes no sense. All they want to do is just steal money from me. But I will call them again to see if this can be fix free of charge since I have select. Im not asking them to aim my headlights but fix either the componets that aims the lights, or replace them. Some members say that they got new headlamp assemblies, but my dealer refuses to help, and told me it would cost $3000 for new headlights incl install.

 

Yeah I seen a new set sold on ebay yesterday for $500. But Im not going to shell out any money to get these fix. I need the forum to help me get Select Edition cover it. Or I might manually move the projectors to go up. Thats all I need. Any imputs.

 

Too tell you the truth man, I really liked Mercedes, thats all I ever bought and driven in since birth. I begin to like Jaguar bc I found out about the S-Type R. I never really cared for Jags that much but had a liking in the Rs. I had me a C230 and I would take it in all the time, and they covered the entire car under warranty no questions asked. Everyone of my bills was $0 I never paid for anything with my Mercedes. 1-800-For Mercedes was cool too, they always went out of their way to make sure I was happy. Also Free Loaner cars too, mainly Benzes I driven S-Classes, E-Classes, and C-Classes. I kinda miss Mercedes though. Only reason I got a Jag is bc the great deal I got on the STR. Even though the Jag has DVD Navi, and tons of options over the MBI still miss my home, a Mercedes Benz.I was going to get a C32 AMG which is faster than the Jag S-Type R and has a V6 Kompressor Supercharger, but it cost a little bit more, but your driving a Mercedes, and you know CPO will fix all your problems for $0.
This forum isnt like Home, unlike the Benz Forums Mbworld, and Benzworld has close to 100K Members on each forum. The Jag forum only has 2500 Members here. Theres a difference. On the Benz Forums if I had inquirys I would get tons of responses and tons of help its not like that here. Also on a Benz I have tons of Mods I can do and plenty of tuners, unlike Jaguar theirs pretty much non. I dont feel like Im at home with a Jag. Im already at a bad start with the dealership refusing to cover broken HIDheadlights, and want to charge outrageous prices, plus diag fees. How is this Home ?
