02 Xtype- multiple codes- engine misfire
Hey Guys,
I've been having some engine misfire issues.
I changed out all the plugs, but found some oil in Cylinder 1 (This is the cylinder on the far passenger side under air intake manifold right?).
So I cleaned the oil out of the cylinder, changed the valve cover gasket, and i got the codes cleared at Autozone. The car ran pretty mint for 2 days, then it was like 5 degrees outside and had engine misfires like crazy.
Here's my new codes:
P1000- generic code?
P0300- Random cylinder misfire?
P0301- cylinder 1 misfire
P0302- cylinder 2
P0303- 3
P0304- 4
P1313- ???
My next step is going to probably be to change out some ignition coils----just wanted to check and see what you guys thought before I dropped ~$160.
I also want to replace my PCV valve and hose (to the updated version) and the Intake manifold gaskets at some point

X-type code descriptions:
jaghelp.com: X-Type
also, P1313 I think is due to excess misfires. When was the last time you did an ignition service? by ignition service I mean, coils and spark plugs.
Best of luck!

Hey Guys,
After doing some research on jaguarfourms, i was able to pinpoint the issue. I had a big leak at my IMT valves, and also maybe a small leak at my PCV hose. I put some duct tape over the leaks as a temporary fix....and it worked! the engine light shut off!
I did end up getting replacement OEM IMT gaskets and the newer PCV hose, and I replaced the parts today.
