06 Headlight rebuild
Hi all, 2nd post..
I bought an 06, ran fine, but decided to bring some life back into the ole girl, new shocks, had transfer case and front/rear diff oils changed (ouch on that price of oil) full service, AC compressor, made need a alternator soon, light will come on every now and then, but still charging at 14.2, anyway, I took the headlights out because they are basically crap, lighting up 5 feet from the car, discovered the adjustment plastic things had deteriorated beyond fixing, got them fixed, now going to wet sand the plastic light lense and polish, I am going to go with LED bulbs, what do you guys recommend? I also want to LED the lower spot lights........
Thanks Guys...

I'm a fan of LED everywhere but in the headlights (low or main beams). I tried them but there is a problem (discussed by our forum guru = Thermo) that I experienced. LED have nice output but it doesn't "reflect" back to you. So they look great and bright looking into them but, in driving they do not feel very bright. I converted every light in my car exterior and interior with lots of added LED lighting in the interior, under hood, in the trunk (pics in my threads), (except blinkers = "rapid interior flash" problem).
I chose to go with Osram for the low beams and did an HID conversion for the main beams (brights are still halogen). I chose a blue white color but you can do pure white, yellow white, etc.
Here are some pics

On the front view I neglected to turn on my fog lights which are the same color as well. The lower lights shown are added on DRL's.
