Default 07 X-type vs S-Type Heater control valve / DCCU

Hello everyone,
Wanted to see if you guys can answer this question for me. Been researching hours on the web and going nowhere finding correct part numbers.

I'm trying to find a part number for my x-type and that is heater control valve. My question is does S-type DCCU/Heater Control valve fit on X-type? Everting I been seeing is all for S-type

Look forward to your response.

Look up the actual name of the part you're looking for in the diagrams =

Thank you for the link... unfortunately I can't seem to find this part for X-type. Do they use the same part?

You'll not find it because the X type climate control system doesn't have one at all. It's altogether a simpler system than the S type

Thereby my "find the correct part". Are you guessing at what's wrong? A problem you're trying to throw a part at based on supposition? What are you trying to fix/accomplish?

Trying to troubleshoot an AC not working, so all the repair stuff on the web is pointing to heater valve. So I just trying find out if X type had that part available if it was, I was going to look into that part. But On of the reply mentions x does not have that any longer. So one thing I don’t have to worried about. Wanted to thank you for your replies guys.

A/C not working as in not blowing cold? Not blowing out of appropriate vents? Compressor not cycling?

Heater works, AC just not blowing cold air, air coming out from all vents. I do hear clutch engaging when AC is turned on. Looked at climate control module and I don’t see any burnt trace on the boards. (So it might be good). Has plenty of gas R134a.
So you think compressor is bad?

Hi justtune2001,

If you are turning AC button "On" on the climate control panel and the button light comes on, you are also hearing the engine revs lift up slightly?
If so, that is a pre-emptive function of the ECU increasing the engine RPM in anticipation of the extra load the AC compressor will likely place on the engine at idle speed.

It doesn't actually mean the AC clutch has successfully activated. You need to eyeball the AC clutch physically pulling in and the compressor properly spinning.
If it doesn't then you might have a faulty relay (R3) which you should hear click when the AC switch is being pressed, but if the AC compressor clutch it is not successfully energizing it is likely due to bad internal relay contacts of R3.
It is a easily replaced relay, located LHS in engine bay by shock tower. Should be just a $10 part from an auto store.

You can quickly test by removing and bypassing relay contacts with a jumper (paperclip or similar) to pull the AC clutch in, or if either R1 or R8 are the same part number then do a quick swap to test.
**********Make sure you are going to bypass with a jumper that you correctly bypass just the relay contacts not coil ! otherwise you can blow your climate controller.**********
