07 Xtype electrical problems

John, it sounds like the switch for the computer to see the car in park is failed on you. Therefore, the car thinks that the tranny is not in park, which will then prevent you from pulling out the key. If you open up the center console, you should be able to see the switch there as I recall. Granted, it could be that the wire at the position switch is toast too (or the tranny position switch is toast). I would need to get my hands on the diagrams to confirm, but I am currently on travel, so, I don't have the diagrams with me to confirm.
