2 fuel pumps, new battery and still won't run..
I'm sure a lot of you have seen my posts by now.
I've changed the fuel pump twice and I just put in a brand new battery and the car still won't start.
According to a scanner everything comes back good.
Will an alternator stop it from starting? I don't think it would.
Is there something the scanner wouldn't read that will keep it from starting?
Also if you guys don't mind, could you post any problems that kept your x type from starting. I have no clue where to go with this now. Or just anything that is a possibility that you know.
I need this car to run badly. Anything helps. Also does anyone on here live near me at all that's knowledgeable? I live in Glendale, AZ I'd be willing to buy an endless supply of beer and pay gas if anyone could come by and help me out.

Sorry for your problems, Jarrod. I know how long you have been dealing with this. Can you hear the fuel pump going on when you turn the key? Is there fuel pressure? Is the engine cranking, but just not starting? Are you sure you have spark? Have to double and triple checked all connections? Fuel filer clear? I know this is all basic stuff and I wish I could help you, but about all I can offer you is sympathy as I do not have the technical skill. Maybe it is time to bite the bullet and take it into a mechanic.

I did everything, except like an idiot I missed a fuse. So here's the story if anyone is curious.
First off the initial fuel pump change was necessary. So that's a plus. Anyway I gave up and towed it 30 miles to the dealer, they called me and said they replaced the ignition coil fuse and it started right up.
So naturally I felt like an idiot. But then as they drove it to their car wash the fuse popped again. So they pulled off the intake manifold to check for a short or bad ignition coil. It turned out there was raw wire touching the engine block and causing a short.
It's weird that the fuel pump and this came up at the same time. But I got the car back yesterday and it runs great. Better than before with the new fuel pump and filter.
And the dealership only charges $155 per hour.. so it cost just under $500 for them to repair wires.. but I still won because it was all cheaper total, even with a few tools I had to buy, than just a fuel pump change would have been.
