I put the charger on it and tried to start it with no luck. Going to pop up the back seat and check the voltage at the fuel pump wiring harness next. When I turn the key on I hear a very faint sound, really don't hear the fuel pump kicking on so I'm sure it's probably bad. Do the fuel pump relays ever go bad? Also is there a fuel pump fuse? Thanks

There is a module under the rear seat that appears to drive the pump directly, not via a relay.
I don't know this model but on XK's the pump is pulse width modulated to set pressure at the fuel rail so a relay won't work. Maybe the same here.
I'm afraid it is your pump but 0V at the pump harness would be good news.

I got voltage at the pump harness so its defiantly the fuel pump. Now my next question is 100% real, has anyone cut an access square under the seat to change the fuel pump? I could then tack weld an inch on top of the square all the way around and gasket it back down. Even tack it down in a few spots but then I have an access hole for future pumps and don't have to drop any major time or money in having a garage do it. With an access hole it would be an hour job at the max. Ok, let's hear the comments on this.ha

I recall a discussion on here a while back where someone wanted to do the same thing as you. I can't remember if they followed through though. As I recall there was debate how wise that would be with cutting/welding so close to the tank. If you do a search I'm sure you can find that thread. Personally, if I was faced with the same issue I would just bite the bullet and get the tank removed. Yeah, a pain in the **** and not cheap, especially if you have it done by a shop, but chances are you would only do it once. Not like something like that is going to be replaced every year. If it would need to be done again it might be ready for the boneyard by then.

I did it...fuel pump shorts out in fuel tank!!
The easy way in is to cut the hole larger.
I did it with metal sheet siccors and cut a 'flap' out so i could remove the fuelpump.
After refitting the new fuelpump i replaced the metal and ducktaped the hole...whats the problem? Its under your backseat...or you remove the complete fueltank, your call.
However..before you start cutting be shure its the pump and not some jammed filter.
May the force be with you
