Unhappy 2004.25MY foglight wiring

Help
I have nearly finished repairing my car after an accident and went to wire up front fog lamps thinking i could fit the plug from my donor car to the harness as the other one was cut off in the bump.
The problem is my jtis wont show me the wiring diagram for that year and all the colours are different and has many more wires
im stuck as when i metered it out only got 1 permanent live and 2 switched lives when side lights came on.
really confused now and need it back on the road.
I really dont want to just leave the job for later as its an easy fix with the right info

thanks in advance

albackuk, give me till the morning and I will convert the wire colors for you. I have both the pre-2004 and post 2004 diagrams.

albackup, ok, you have me a little confused at the moment. Let me get this straight. You have a 12 wire plug attached to the fog light housing? Is this correct? Or, are we talking about the plug that is further back on the harness that goes between the fuse box and the lights? From what I can tell in the drawings between the pre and post-2004 cars, both styles have a 2 wire plug that powers the fog lights.

I am just trying to make sure I send you the correct information. Maybe if you tell me specifically where the plug is, I can figure out the plug that you are talking about and match things up that way.

Hi Thermo
i think i got it pretty much figured out.
had 2 wires live with side lights (additional sides?)
1 ignition switched live
1 small earth
1 large earth
2 x live with fog lights
others dont seem to do anything
Found a blown fuse that was conusing things
got the fogs working in any case just a bit confused as to why there is a switched live and lives with side lights down there
thanks
alex
