12yrold, I have non-Jaguar plugs in my car. Runs just fine. What I will tell you is that you want to:
1) use a double platinum plug. To not do so means you will be back in doing the plugs again in about 20K miles. After doing the plugs, while not hard, you will appreciate spending the extra little bit per plug to get the double platinums.
2) do not go fancy with the plugs. Using the "multi-spark" plugs like Splitfires, Bosch +4's, etc will not net you anything. Modern day cars have lots of spark energy (hence the need for the platinum plugs) and they do not foul like non-platinum plugs do.
