I have an 04 x-type and suddenly the drivers seat has lost all power. It worked perfect before but today tried the seat heater and the light wouldn't turn on. The passingers side seat heater works fine though. Then I tried to adjust my seat and nothing, it doesn't even make a sound. Once more, the passinger seat adjusts fine.

I thought it could be a fuse, so I checked both the heated front seat modules (f8) and drivers seat adjustment motors (f16) and both fuses looked fine to my eyes although I didn't check the resistance. Any ideas? Everything was working great yesterday.

Kieth - I'm starting my own driver's seat saga, however I'm fortunate that mine has power (so far). If no power, I'd first recheck the fuses and go beyond the visual check. Look to see if there are other fuses upstream of the fuse panel (I'm new here too, don't know for sure), and lastly look for a broken connection somewhere. From other threads here it appears that it's very possible for the harness to get pinched in the seat mechanisms and break a conductor and/or short out.
