List of everything that 2011 Crown vic comes with.

I drove the 2013 Interceptor yesterday for the first time. It is AWD and we have have about 2 inches of show. I could not get it to spin it's tires. I don't know the specifics of how it works, but I would guess all electronic since the brochure says it responds in milliseconds.

Took the daughter's '04 x type out tonight. Hankook P225/50/17 OPtima H725 (I think) tires. Good tread on all, but rear driver was somewhat down on tread compared to the others. That tire did spin the most on my tests. Drove on our dirt road. Started from stall on some of our hills, and it was not at all like 1970's era RWD cars. Fronts don't ever spin, and rear left did here and there. At 20 or so mph, canned the gas, no issues, a little spin but no fishtailing like we used to do. Drove up a grassy hill with 3" of snow. Did get stuck eventually, spinning rear, but, again, not like 100% RWD. So I think the awd is working, but, it's not a 4wd truck, as some seem to indicate. With Blizzaks, I'd be shocked if we spun tires. So, relief. And I did find that Taurus wheels fit, so a cheap set of those with some Blizzaks would get the job done. And those rims are 16's so I can put a smaller tire on them, at much less cost than 50's at 17"...Car is the man I have to say. Stable, in no way is it some wild undriveable car in snow. Handles good, solid.

Just wondering old '04 or new (i.e., I believe early '04s had the same t-case as '02-'03 but later '04s got the nonfluid-coupled one)?

Just now a fellow Finnish forum-goer told me that he ordered his X-Type in 2003 when they still had the VC, however, the car was delivered in December in 2004 specification and had no VC. Thinking it had the VC, he did not opt for the DSC so his car is like yours.

I've heard the change occured (along with the steering wheel facelift etc) in mid-2004, which is probably when it was changed in the US while it was changed at the start of 2004 in Europe.

Which steering wheel does your car have? Old vs. new.
