Default 2006 turn signals and brake lights not working, car will not shift.

I had an issue with a 2006 Sportwagon, assume it to be caused by trailer wiring (non OEM Jaguar). Came out from a store, car would start, but shifter would not move, felt like the shift inhibit solenoid was not functioning.. Started to disassemble the console, kinda remembered that my XJ had a manual override you could depress, but before I got there, I remembered the trailer I was towing. Checked quickly, no brake lights, thought it likely that the shift inhibit solenoid took power from the actual brake light service. Owners manual did not detail a fuse location, checked the forum here, someone had posted fuse location as F35, blown fuse, replaced it and could now shift, unplugged trailer, drove home.
I did not have functioning turn signals, again checked the forum, Noted that the turn signals were controlled by the General Electronic Module, and that the turn signal switch only grounded the signal wires to the GEM. Checked the switch, ground to the switch, back probed the GEM connectors, checked the input to the GEM, concluded bad GEM, located one, not so easy with a wagon, and purchased it.. Installed, still no turn signals. Found a wiring diagram, 2004.25 up, newest I found, confirmed that turn signals received power through the F35 fuse. Looked again in manuals I had handy. no joy there. I started checking every fuse in panel (passenger compartment), found one blown, F47, right above F35.. Replaced it, and all is well. Owners Manual shows it as parking lights, but it does at least on my vehicle power the turn signals through the GEM.

Hope this helps someone.
BTW, replacement GEM, everything worked fine, only thing that did not was the remote entry, seems the anti theft key coding is in the instrument panel, remote entry key coding is in the GEM.

But you can recode the remote entry. Just search here, MANY posts on how to do it.

Sorry, should have been more explicit, went back to the original GEM, all is well, just have a spare now.
