2009 Auto oilchange
Hi all! 2009 X type auto diesel 2.2 ltr does anyone know for sure what make / grade of auto transmission fluid this box takes ( I think it's an Aisin Warner box ? ) I know it's supposed to be " for life" but at 66000, I want to change it. I am a retired motor engineer and I know HOW to do the oilchange, just need to be sure that I get the right stuff.
Thanks !

Gear box oil change
As you can see below, Castrol recommend (for a manual transmission) the Synstrans Multivehicle 75W-90 (1.0 liter).
For the Engine : Magnatec 5W-30 A1
This is also indicated in your X-Type manual.

2009 VDP oil change
Hi Folks,
Love these forums. Just bought 2009 VDP with 16500 miles / 26422 kms on it and the dealer here in Canada told me an oil change which they claim you have to use synthetic oil, is $295.00!!!
Luckily, I live across the river from Detroit and the Jag dealer there told me the charge would be $60.00 and they use a 'blended' oil.
I won't have the car possession til Monday, but would like your opinion.
Thank you.
