RE: 3rd Party Extended Warranty
There are quite a few out there...I don't have one for the jag so I couldn't steer you in that direction. Just be careful and do tons of investigating. Search BBB (better business bureau) and see if there is any dirt anywhere for the perspective company.
Watch for what their practices are as far as paying out for repairs. Some places have a maximum they will pay out per hour of work so you need to check that. Jag charges over 100 an hour so be careful my father in law has one that will only pay out 30/hour for his dodge and they have a max they will pay on the parts as well.

RE: 3rd Party Extended Warranty
I'm going to blog my experiences with 3rd Party Warrenty companies, in case someone ever needs them.
First call from Company "A" tonight. Sales rap went from friendly to hard core in 10 minutes. $395 for contract to be sent. Refundable in 30 days if not happy. Wants me to get contract first and then show the dealer or mechanic. Must enroll tonight or window is forever closed. I bet they call again. Bye bye Company "A".

PM on the way. And after "Company A" told me Monday night, I either have to sign up now or the "window will close", they have called me twice a day since then and will not take no for an answer.
"Company B" called ...with a pretty good deal, and has allowed me "three or four days" to talk to my dealer and my local mechanic. They have made good on it as well. Very impressed.
"Company C" calls everyday, lowering the price, on a warranty is very particular on what they define as "wear & tear".
I'm going to make a decision by this weekend.

RE: 3rd Party Extended Warranty
I did. I found two things out:
1. You must a warranty from a dealer. Jaguar will not sell them outside of the dealer.
2. I didn't buy my Jag from a Jag dealer, so the dealer couldn't sell me one.
So, my next Jag...new or used...will come from a Jag dealer. We don't have one here...but it's worth going to get.
