Ask five people about what lubes to use and you're going to get five different answers! I'm not being flippant, it's just the truth.....everybody has their own 'favorite'. I use Amsoil synthetics. Why? Read on........

The transaxle would use 75W90(3.6 pints), transfer case, 75W140(1.3 pints) and rear end 75W140(2.4 pints). I also blend in about 25-30% Lucas oil stabilizer. I used that when I had a commercial truck and it worked very well in the engine and gearboxes. It helps the lube climb and stay on the gear tooth surfaces.
And contrary to some of the threads on this, and other forums, I don't overfill the gearcases (ie, above the inspection port). Those ports are there to insure the correct amount of fill for that particular gear configuration. Overfilling does one thing.....introduces a buttload of drag on the drivetrain and reduces fuel mileage.
I hope this little dissertation helped you, but wait for other opinions before making your choice.

I too wondered what to use for the manual gearbox and opted for the latest standard Ford oil for the MTX75 gearbox after reviewing many forums.
I couldn't drain any more than 1 litre even with tilting the car. The same amount went back in before reaching the top of the fill hole so wasn't low to begin with.
The new lube didn't make any difference that I could notice, but did improve peace of mind
