ABS Jaguar X-Type A.B.S. activating on every brake application.

If you have access to a reader that can see the chassis (C) codes, get those numbers pulled and post them here...there are a few things that can cause this.
I was having the same issue, just found out the answer today, courtesy of a real-time reader.
The reluctor (tone) rings on my rear axles look fine, but we found that they are both split. Mine haven't broken completely yet, but the computer sees the ever-so-slight difference between the solid ring and the cracked one, and decides that the one wheel is not moving as fast...and activates the ABS.
The rings are available, but a bit of work to replace.

Gondolaboy, based on the codes you are posting, your left hand rear speed sensor is bad. I would try replacing the sensor itself and seeing if that fixes the problem. If that doesn't, then you have 2 other possibilities, but they are much more unlikely based on the C1236 code.
The more likely is a bad reluctance ring on the left hand rear wheel. This can be seen by removing the sensor and looking down the hole. What you should see is a metal band about 10mm wide with rectangular holes cut into it. This band is known to rust and break, leading to no wheel speed sensing.
The other possibility is that you have a different size tire on the left hand rear wheel. Make sure that all 4 tires are the same size (ie, 235/45/R17 for example). Ideally you also want the tires to be as evenly worn as possible. But, wear should not be enough to cause the light to come on.
If you are still having issues, let me know and we can take things from there.
