Hope all of you are keeping well. I have an old Jaguar xtype 2003 benzene which I own for three years now. I know there are new models to consider but I just like this car. I took it to my mechanic for yearly fitness certificate which is now done. Complete bottom insulated after fixing the rusts. Some places had to be welded at the bottom as well. He reported that now the (ABS) light is on and I must turn off traction control positively before each driving. Error code he gave me is P1582. The car drives good but without (ABS) is a risk. Certainly I feel something is missing in driving like the accelerator when released even gently the car kicks / knocks. It doesn't if i release it super slowly though but that is not possible always. Car is not so smooth like before from handling perspective but runs well. I feel difference in breaking as well. Attached are the pictures my mechanic shared and asked to contact Jaguar. Jaguar service here may not even accept an appointment for this car any more. May be I should look for other garage? Any help with this is appreciated. I really like this car and want it feel good again.
