AC low and high pressure ports
#23
I just recharged the coolant in my 2007 X-Type Sportwagon - used a recharge kit with the hose and guage. Finding the low-side service port was the biggest challenge of the job. After watching the demo video for the product I used, the a/c was blowing cold air within 5 minutes. Now the test will be to see how long my coolant pressure holds. I live in Tampa and so far the a/c is working fine. I have pics if anyone wants to see where the low-side service port is hidden - post me a message. Piece of cake - well, a $44 dollar piece of cake. (Better than $1,200 for a new compressor.)

You need to edit that string by removing the picshttp:// to make it into a link:

Good info and pics.

To Make it even easier.
Low-side port location (2007 X-Type) The strut housing is the large grey cylindrical object taking up most of the lower half of the picture. The low-side service port is NOT the one seen on the narrow aluminum tubing in plain view. Rather, the low-side port is the one tucked between the fat tubing (with white tape band) and the smaller black ribbed tubing. See the circles overlaid on each image.
