I am a chrome fan also, I had the Mercedes decked out chrome tail and head light trim, chrome door handles, chrome surrounds on the AC vents, Stainless steel license plate surrounds, however license plate surrounds are not band in the Commonwealth, you can have any type of license plate surround. Also, the state band aftermarket tinted windows, none at all. Then 6 moths later they allowed 10% aftermarket tinting. Also, banned aftermarket HID lights. You can only have factory HID.

IMHO, chrome is like booze..... generally best to be used in moderation.

At one time I would have disagreed with you. But now I whole hardly agree. Truckers are the worse, I've seen trucks that have $12K of chrome on them.

Did you all know that the top of the Chrysler Building is covered in Naristo, which is stainless steel with 18% chromium added, usually stainless contains 10% or 12% chromium. Walter Chrysler had is engineers formulate the stainless so it would last forever, just as Chrysler would, which the jury is still out on.

Not a safe thing to do, especially if you are going to do a lot of high speed driving.

That was from left field. Actually the German government has been testing and approving bolt pattern adapters for unlimited speed use for around 20 years. Maybe we should raise this concern with the Technischerueberwachungs Verein and their scientists also. Sounds like you have solid evidence to bring forward.
