Aftermarket HID lights....Whats your preference??
I have an 03 X-Type and am getting ready to order some HID kits to redo my Low/High/Fog lights. I am looking to make these lights Blue, just like the Mercedes/BMWs come equipped with nowadays.
I am really stuck between the 8000k and 10000k lights. I don't want them to be so blue that they don't even look real, but I don't want them to look so white that they look like they are bulbs from meijers.
Anyone have any experience here with this?

BTW, HID bulbs are under $20 a set these days if you want to play with the Jeep.

the 8000k does not look ridiculous at all, i have them and i only have a tint of blue. I have no purple or deep blue colors at all. I like 8000k but if you want a more stock look then you might want to go with 6000k. My friend has a bmw with 4300k and they look only slightly different than standard halogens, they still have that orange look after warming up. 6000k/8000k looks fine on the x type since we have projectors. It just looks bad on the civics on the world because it makes the whole headlamp look blue not just projector itself like in our cars.

I am back on the mission to swap out my front lights again. I am going to go with 6000k most likely since that seems to be the most favored.
HOWEVER, I don't want to just get the cheapest ones on ebay and hope for the best out of some piece of crap put in a box from hong kong or wherever. Anyone know of a good brand or have a link to a set that they purchased online that has worked out for them? I'd really appreciate it.

I highly recommend DDMTuning hids if anyone is looking. had them for a few months now and work great. cost about $70 and have a lifetime warranty. I ordered a set of 6k for the low beams, and 3K for the fogs, but got lazy, so just put the 3k in the High beam. dont look too bad, but i rarely (if ever) use the high beam so doesnt really matter what it looks like. just more output when needed
