RE: Aftermarket Stereo
Alpine makes some really nice headunits - very good quality. I also like the Pioneer Premier lineup. Are you looking to go with a double din screen? Those flip up screens are kind of cool, keeps your equipment nice and descrete for bad neighborhoods - but then you have all of that plastic when the screen is closed.

Best buy has a transmitter that hooks into the antenna behind the stereo. The cord comes through my ash tray now. It's not quite CD quality but closer to CD than radio quality. It was $100 installed. My wireless FM transmitter wouldn't pick up **** through the antenna in the window. Took em about an hour to install.
The Jag dealership said the ACM was like $399 so F-that and I agree, I wouldn't want to mess up the look of that center stack.

RE: Aftermarket Stereo
depends what brand of radio you got. panasonic, Sony and a few others have a kit that lets you utulize the steering wheel function. They also have the Nav, bluethooth and a few other options.
I was the first to do this back in 2005, so my radio is a bit outdated, only reason I did was becasue the dealer told me it couldn't be done...lol....i wanted the nav feature and T.v but the factory jag setup would have cost about 3.5K....that setup only cost me $900 and i had everything, and when you hook up your Ipod to it, it was fantastic, no distortion or anything!..
Anyway, to each his own.
