Default alignment questions

hi all,
just wondering.... is it OK to get a wheel alignment and tire rotation/balance for an X type outside of the Jag dealership, or are these idiosyncratic and need some Jag expertise to do them?

i love my dealership, but there may be a time issue this go round. ..

thx!

norumba, the suspensions on these cars are no more difficult than a Ford or a Chevy. So, any shop can align the car. The only thing that I would caution you on is making sure that they have the correct alignment specs. Jaguar updated the specs and they may not have the absolute correct ones. If you need the updated sheet with the jaguar logo on it, let me know. I am sure I have it on my computer somewhere and can send it your way. I just need an e-mail addy to send it to.

As a side note, I have had my car aligned 3 times in the time I have owned it and never has it been to the dealership.

I will need to get my car aligned shortly after I replace the control arm links on the rear. I would really like to get a copy of the current alignment specs since the shop I use is not a large scale operation. Would it be possible for me to get a copy as well.

Thanks a bunch
