Alittle annoyed today
Well as some people have read in other threads I needed new tires and I got a new set of rims.
Yesterday I had the new set of Goodyears mounted and balanced to the new rims. I take them home and get the front 2 on with no issues. The rear two however were difficult to get on since one lug on each side wouldnt come off. I needed and alignment anyway so I let the local tire place deal with getting the old rear rims/tires off today. So I drop it off today in the morning hoping that when I get back all the new rims/tires would be on.
I get a call from the shop and they said that they got one of the bolts off, the other broke.. Needless to say the new rims/tires didnt go on the back. The guys said to go to the shop that did my rear brakes and have them fix the broken lug, he said he would do it but he would have to charge me.(The place that did my brakes overtightend the lugs) Alignment came out great, car is perfectly straight down the road.
So I am annoyed that I have to go to the shop that did my brakes on Monday and hope they will be honorable and fix the lug so I can get the new rims/tires on the car. Right now I have 2 new rims/tires in the front and the old ones in the rear.. The only saving grace is the one of my front rims were bent so now with the new rims the car drives alot smoother..
I just want ALL the NEW rims/tires on already..

Man, that sucks. I know I would be ticked, especially when you are already conditioned to seeing what the new bling on the car looks like. Just how much does it cost to replace a stud (I can't believe I just typed that)? I wouldn't think it was that much and I don't think I would have want to wait to be able to take the car to somwehere else to get that fixed. I would have wanted that instant gratification. Plus, if the other place couldn't even tighten a wheel properly would you really trust them to replace a stud (I know, I did it again)?
