Default Any Ideas why the Heater stopped working?

So yesterday all was well.
Today No Heat.
The fan works, when I change the settings I can hear the doors open and close.
Air is blowing through the vents (cold). But no Heat.
Engine is operating at normal temp.
Thanks

Since the X only relies on damper control for when you recieve heat or not..as long as your coolant level is up to par as you say..then it is a control damper issue..I'm guessing..

Sorry, either it's my old school or American terminology..But you would probably most likely know this Damper controltermas Blend Doors/actuators as the drive motors

ahhhh........LOL so the penny drops.
Before you get into looking for the blenddoors, disconect battery for 5 minutes then run climate control through all settings, see if this helps first.

Whatever that means

In the mean time..I wouldn't begin to know how to appproach repairing or getting at the actuators/servos..even should that be the problem...

I Like FJT's idea for starters..I've heard of that working too, inthe case of a system lock up..

For your viewing pleasure ... Number 4 is the Temp Blend door actuator..aka; Damper Motor

To get to most of the heater matrix, you have to remove the dash!

Here's the relevant section from the Workshop Manual:

Note the mention of 'audio unit keycode'. It is very unusual to have a coded radio outside the UK but there have been a very small number reported in the US and Canada.

In the unlikely event you do have a coded radio, there should be a card in the vehicle document set with the four digit code.

Guess what, it seems to have worked! I reconnected the battery, started the car but it was still blowing cold air. I put the setting on HI then turned off the engine. I started the car again and heard some flaps opening and it was blowing hot air. Thanks a lot for the instructions! I am left with this question...since it is still a long way to summer, should I just leave the heater on its current setting or can I play around with the temperatures and risk getting the damper controls stuck again. Do these damper controls stay in whatever setting they are left in or do they close and open every time the car is started?

Other than electrical or mechanical failure, blend doors usually stick through lack of use. Often they are set to the owner's preferred settings and rarely, if ever, moved.

Cycling though all the settings on a monthly basis is good preventative maintenance.
